Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Arcright collects when you visit this website or get in touch, why, and what your rights are. Arcright is a trading name of Greg Thomson, a sole trader based in the UK. Greg is the data controller for the data described here.
Questions or requests about your data: greg@arcright.io.
What I collect
- When you email me (including through the "free audit" buttons): your name, email address, and anything you choose to include about your business.
- When you visit the site: anonymous performance measurements (such as page load speed) collected by my hosting provider. These don't use cookies and don't identify you.
The savings calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into it is sent to me or stored.
How I use it and why
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange an audit call and, if you choose to work with me, prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To keep the website working and fast. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a reliable website.
I don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of trusted services to run the business:
- Website hosting — Vercel Inc., which serves the site and collects the anonymous performance data above.
- Fonts — Google Fonts. Your browser requests the site's fonts from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Email — my business email provider, which stores messages you send me.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within two years. If you become a client, records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and for six years afterwards to meet tax and legal obligations.
Client automations
If you become a client, any personal data your automations process (for example, your customers' details) is covered by our written agreement, including a data processing agreement in which I act as your processor. This policy only covers the website and enquiries.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, object to how I use it, or ask me to restrict its use. Email greg@arcright.io and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
